I personally think it's hilarious. The site was so in vogue, and it seemed to happen almost overnight. But a bit of a stigma began to form for those that used tumblr. People created these emotional, empathetic caricatures of themselves to seem artsy. Certain photographs and phrases became tumblr argot. "Tumblarity" created a type of hierarchy on the site, and everyone became extremely garrulous, posting about things that, frankly, no one else cared about. It kind of became a place for students to redress the woes of the school day.
BUT THEN AHAHA, THE ADMINISTRATION BLOCKED IT. For whatever reason, no one can get on tumblr from their school laptops anymore. While I am a bit disappointed that I will no longer be able to stalk people during physics, I'm highly amused by the few that are completely distraught by this occurrence. People have been saying that the administration has no right to censor the blog. But, uh, actually, it does. Cause it is the one that gives you the laptops in the first place. And, even though no student really likes this fact, it is true that those laptops are meant for educational purposes.
So boo-hoo whine whine, you have to wait to go home to tumblr. Cry more.
